EQUIPMENT
- Large Iron Skillet / Iron Sauté Pan
INGREDIENTS
- 1 T-Bone Steak, 20 Oz
- 2 tbsp Chief Brand Steak Dry Rub
- 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1 tbsp Butter
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat Oven to 450 Degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ensure steak is at room temperature.
- Place a large iron skillet or Iron Sauté Pan over high heat on stove. With a napkin, pat steak dry and place on a cutting board. Season generously with Chief Steak Seasoning, rub on both sides of the steak by massaging well on the surface.
- Add your coconut oil to the hot pan and when it starts to smoke, place the steak in. Reduce heat slightly and cook steak until browned about 2 minutes on each side.
- Add the butter to the pan and transfer skillet to the oven and cook for an additional 6 to 8 minutes. Use an internal thermometer probe, to ensure 135 degrees Fahrenheit internal temperature is achieved. Remove from oven and place steak on a cutting board and allow it to rest for 8 minutes. Then serve with Mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables.
